Information on the Finish

Technical Data

a) We use a poly urethane U.V coating with an addition of aluminium oxide to offer best abrasion resitance.

b) All our coating products are manufactured subject to iso 9002 rules and performance criteria.

c) Seven coats of U.V aluminum oxide are applied for a total thickness of 3.1 mils.

Data

a) Abrasion results show 30% to 110% better than the competition using ASTM D 4060-95 technique.

b) Adherance to the substrate is 100% compared to 95% for the competition's samples.

c) All our prefinished products don't show any "ribbing" of the varnish or "orange peal effect" of the sealer.

The warranty herein provided and obligation of the company hereunder are in lieu of, and buyer herein waves all other warranties, guaranties, conditions or liabilities, either expressed or implied, arising by law or otherwisse, either written or oral (including, without limitation, and obligation of the seller with respect to consequential damages).

You are advised that this warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You are advised that you may have additional legal remedies provided to you under the laws of your country, which are not mentioned above. This warranty does not exclude or limit such other legal remedies, but serves to complete such available remedies.

Claims

This is the only official warranty issued by the company with respect to the finish. See this section and your dealer's receipt for all the claims. All claims for defects in the finish must be submitted in writting and sent by registered mail to your dealer.

All claims must include a detailed description of the problem or defect, a copy of the receipt from the dealer, showing both the receipt number and the date of purchase, as well as a picture and copy of the manufacture's warranty included on the packaging of the product. The dealer will be responsible for dealing with the company in order to resolve the problem with the product. The company shall be entitled to examine and test the defective product prior to its replacement.

RESIDENTIAL 25 YEARS LIIMITED WARRANTY

VARNISH WARRANTY

WOODPRO INC. varnish is manufactured in strict accordance with industry standards and is free from all defects in material (polyurethane prefinish) or in workmanship.

The company further warrants that the finish will not show visible wear and will not suffer damage due to normal and ordinary residential use thereof, the whole subject to the conditions, limitations and exclusions as set out below.

WARRANTY PERIOD

The warranty period for the finish is twenty-five (25) years from the date of purchase thereof (a dealer's receipt is acceptable proof of purchase date.)

LIMITED LIABILITY

In the event of a defect in the finish, the company's liability will be limited, at its option, to the replacement of the defective finish or the repair therof (consisting of refinishing of the defective finish) up to the amount equal to the original purchase price. The whole subject to the limitations set out below.

LIMITATIONS

This warranty applies to the finish only if used in normal residential applications and does not apply where the finish is used in commercial establishments, or where used for other than personal or family use.

The warranty applies to finish only where it has been regularly maintained as recommended by the company.

The warranty applies to the finish only where it has been installed and applied in accordance with the company's instructions, which include the following: Where it is applied to the flooring above ground level, the relative humidity must be between 40 and 50%. Where it is applied to flooring below ground level, the sub-flooring must be adequate and treated against moisture.

The company is not responsible for the following:

(a) any defects in the flooring caused by settlement or movement of the structure, or the walls or foundation thereof.

(b) any problems with the finished caused by the sub-flooring.

(c) any damage caused to the finish by reason of "force majeure" including water damgage, sand damage, discoloration in the wood flooring, extreme environmental conditions, floods, acts of God, or other accidents.

(d) any defects in the finish caused by negligence or abuse of the user.

(e) any defects caused by poor workmanship, improper installation and application, improper installation and application, improper maintenance and misuse.

(f) any defects caused by the use of cleaning products or products other than those especially formulated for use on prefinished flooring.

(g) any defects caused during transportation of the prefinished flooring.

(h) any defects in the finish caused by the moving or dragging of heavy items over the flooring (i.e. refrigerator) or any marks or dents caused to the finish due to sharp objects.

The company accepts no obligations or liabiliteis for the consequential damages arising out, or in connection with the use or performance of the finish or other indeirect damages with respect to loss of property, revenues, or profit, or for removal, installation or re-installation. No representative or person is authorised to offer any other warranty, or assume any other liabilities, on behalf of the company.
